sundays are probably my least favorite day of the week... they always have been. it just seems like sundays are too boring for me... i never have to work, but i never have anything to do, either. i just sit. and try and do projects. today i addressed about half of my wedding invitations. and read the first two chapeters of the first harry potter book. (apparently i missed the boat 7 years ago, and i'm just starting out now.)
it's just that sundays have never been desirable for me. even when i was younger and went to church, and then youth group on sundays, they were still unbearably mundane. it seems like sunday is the designated "family time" day... so all of my friends are busy with their mothers--or being mothers-- and i'm just here. bored. my family doesn't really have "days" when we do things together... ugh. and of course drew works on sundays so we can't even do anything together.
i've just been in a pissy mood for the past few days.
blah.

tonight drew and i are going to go on a date-date. we go out together often, but we don't really do anything date-like... so we're going to go down to new london and walk on the beach, and eat at this cute little place called schooner's and just enjoy each other's company...
i'm so excited! we both had days off this weekend, and we didn't end up seeing each other but for a few hours, so it's good that we finally get to just relax together. it's going to be a nice night for a ride in the convertible, too.

today i was watching the surreal life and i saw that janice dickinson has the same cell phone as i do.
for some reason it just struck me as funny that the "first supermodel" owns a phone that i got for free.
hrm.
anyway. had a good day in the convertible with my friend todd... went down to mystic and got some sunshine. my cheeks are a little rosy, and those tan lines on my shoulders look like they're gone, thanks to this incredibly cute tube top i got at the limited for $15. i love it--it's SO comfortable and it doesn't look like all the other tube tops i've seen lately. i am terrified of people calling me a fat lady in a tube top, but today as i drove past some adolescent boys on bikes, they said, "damn! i like your car! and you're hot!" and it was really funny.

okay, so i was all mentally prepared to make my own invitations... and now i just don't feel like doing it. so, it takes 3-5 weeks for invitations to come in when you order them... if i ordered them NOW, they'd be here in the beginning of August... i want RSVP's by the middle of september for my wedding, which is october 2nd...
so in timeframes, that means:
august 5-15: invitations sent out
september 5-15: rsvp due
october 2: wedding
is that too tight of a timeframe?
